The Beatitudes

The Beatitudes are a glimpse of how Christ is taking an upside-down world and setting it right again. The opening lines of Jesus’ longest recorded sermon, these eight blessings are not a call for us to try harder. Rather, they are a look at the natural outcomes of a life lived in Christ. The riches of the Kingdom of God are ours, and they are secure, because of life and sacrifice of our Savior. As we follow Jesus, and allow God to bring about His Kingdom in and through us, we will discover God Himself and the blessings that He promises us.
